I am always ready to learn although I do not always like being taught!

Re: Quotes

"Enjoy life. There's plenty of time to be dead."

One I have come to realise is very true.

Re: Quotes

"Don't take life seriously because you can't come out of it alive."
-Warren Miller

I also like:

"Tell me not, in mournful numbers,
Life is but an empty dream!
For the soul is dead that slumbers,
and things are not what they seem.
Life is real! Life is earnest!
And the grave is not its goal;
Dust thou art; to dust returnest,
Was not spoken of the soul."
-Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Re: Quotes

I'm sure I'm not quoting it exactly, but it's something Ghandi (sp?) once said:  "Forgiveness is not a sign of weakness.  Only a very strong person is able to forgive."

And here's one from "Buddy Cole" (a character created by Scott Thompson on Kids in the Hall):  "I may have been born yesterday, but I still went shopping!"

And of course, another fave quote is by Basil Fawlty (John Cleese) -- just read my signature:

"Don't touch me!  I don't know where you've been!" -- Basil Fawlty

Re: Quotes

One of my favorites:

"I'd rather be a could-be if I cannot be an are; because a could-be is a maybe who is reaching for a star. I'd rather be a has-been than a might-have-been, by far; for a might have-been has never been, but a has was once an are."

Milton Berle

Re: Quotes

[size=14][font=Arial]Sh*t cried the king
and forty suits of armor dropped as one.
For in those days,
the word of the king
was the law of the land.

-My father (at least he is the only person I've ever heard say it)  yikes

This was my dad's motto. He says when you have six kids, you gotta have law and order.   :unsure:
