I vote for playing on the naked lime Jello slip N slide and Josephine's on my team.  Okay, I've lost my mind.  Has anyone seen it?  It's all the weight I've been losing.  I think brain cells might be deteriorating in the process!   yikes  LT :-)

Re: The bizarre

Lime jello works for me. Should be easy enough to see through so I don't miss anything. Mud covers so much up. (Just doing my part to be shallow and vacuous, LT!)

I associate <span style='color:green'>lime jello with the hospital. Couldn't it be cherry or strawberry?

Re: The bizarre

Arch,

I was still trying to come to terms with Lime Green Jello myself, but not because of it's hospital connection. I think I've made pretty clear my fascination with Redheads and Blondes from a strictly fantasy point of view, not that I have anything against Brunettes. I happen to be married to one. Here's my point, when you mix Lime Green Jello and Red hair you end up with a really ugly shade of brown and that would ruin the whole Redhead vs Blonde fantasy thing I've got going on in my head. BTW, they make flavored massage oils and applying it is the job I want; the rest of you can have the money.  wink

Re: The bizarre

Does anyone ever wonder how they decided that of all the foodstuffs available, Jell-O would be the most suitable for scantily clad women to do battle in?

Do you think they tried other stuff before finally settling on Jello?

Flour.  Too dusty.
Corn Syrup.  Too sticky.
Coffee grinds.  Does nothing for me.
Pineapple.  Too prickly.

Re: The bizarre

I've been back in the mountains.  It's rained every day here in New England.

I have a spot behind the house that's in the open but sheltered from the rain.

The charcoals were red.  The night rain was a calming sound.  I put the kabobs on the grill and immediately the smell of meat on the fire had me reaching for my wine.

I heard noise out there in the darkness.  There was miles of wilderness in that direction.  The more the meat cooked the louder the noise.  I reached for my giant sized mag lite flashlite and I saw two eyes caught in the light.  I walked into the rain to see, to get closer.  The flashlight illuminated a great looking coyotte.  I was in awe.  The animal had such a magnificent bearing.

I went back to the grill.  I grabbed a metal skewer of meat and tossed at the coyote.  I heard noise, my flashhlite lite up a blur.  My coyotte friend was gone with my contributed kabob.

Re: The bizarre

Boo, you're really callin' me out on this one.  I've GOT to find another event. I already blew off spinning class on Sunday. Without the motivation of the next tour, I fear I will become a lazy sloth again. I could always start pedalling to the Boston area. I wonder if any of the tall folk up there would welcome me when I strolled into Beantown. What do you think??? A few hundred miles. . . should take me about a couple of days to get there. If I start now, I could be there for the weekend. Anyone planning a cook out? I'd love to stop by Kofte's if he's available. Something good is always cookin' over at his house!  LT :-)

Kofte, I guess you missed this one in my "Personals" thread.  You're my personal version of "the galloping gourmet"!  xoxo LT :-)

there's just something so fun about putting certain names together with food...
like "kofte's kabobs"...

"badnewsbob's kabobs" sounds pretty good too!!!

let's face it --"kabobs" in general is just all-around good fun!!

how about thinking up some other combo's
like bamboo's fondue

talerla's chicken-challet(no, it's not an actual menu item YET...but maybe someone could whip up a recipe for it now???)

badkarma's lasagne

lt's blt's

tpl's apple-carmels

let's hear some more........
