fashion for talls:-)

This season very short leather pants for women are very in.  The best ones are inspired by German lederhosen.  It would be good for long legs, but I can't imagine how awful it would be to wear leather pants on a hot Summer day.

It would be awesome if people started wearing lederhosen:)

Re: fashion for talls:-)

Sounds like a good idea to me, long legged women wearing short leather pants, why not?

This is pretty expensive and I'm sure uncomfortable, but it is certainly selling at the moment:-)

Re: fashion for talls:-)

On a cool day like today I could use a pair of leather pants. I have some leather chaps but no leather pants. Maybe I need to buy some.

Re: fashion for talls:-)

Speaking of clothing, I just got email from someone who had a positive experience with makeyourownjeans.com.    A long time ago I had a positive experience and then a few exasperating ones where it was like they didn't read the order right.  There was no working customer service and I found myself in email arguments with some guy in India.  The quality of materials was ok as was the construction - at least for the price.

Maybe they are better now.  After all, they're still in business.  Has anyone here used them recently?  They have certainly expanded beyond jeans.

Re: fashion for talls:-)

I think I tried them for Marc (it was an online custom jeans site from India) and never did get a pair that fit him right. I sent them back for a refund after the second try. They were so far off the mark that I didn't want to waste more time.

Okay, I think it's about time for the women on this forum to not only make comments about their favorite tall fashions, but also to model the clothes, then post pictures for the guys in order that  we can make constructive comments as to the women's favorite  and latest styles.

I figure I have done my part. Who else has paraded around on TallTalk in a towel or boxers?

OK - no modeling of clothing, but I will shoot anyone who gets in my way

But more seriously I think one of the good things about being a bit tall is it forced me to be a little more creative.  I spend time looking at second hand clothing and a good tailor considers me her charity case I think.  She gets really excited about modifying things for me and is even on the lookout herself. Some of my friends look out for things for me too and we do the girl thing of trying to figure out outfits that might work.  It isn't exactly out of the catalog, but neither am I:-)  You know you have done something with another woman who is a stranger comes up and talks about your clothing rather than your height.

Some cities are much more fun than others for people watching.  NYC has great street fashion.  Køvenhavn - well - not as good.

jheri,
i think we all already knew you to be intelligent, creative, fun and energetic....
but now that you've gone and shown us how drop-dead gorgeous you are.....
well, we're simply going to have to hire a hit man to off you!!

just kidding, of course.....
but DO BE AWARE of your surroundings if you ever opt to buy/carry several bottles of wine into a busy parking area....
ya just never know who might be lurking in the shadows... smile

Re: fashion for talls:-)

Thank you for the kind comments. You can do a lot with some makeup:-)

We all have our differences and one of mine is my weight as I don't have much.   I don't have much in the way of curves and there are some men who will come up and ask if I am a transvestite - actually they will declare that I must be one.  I was 14 when I first heard that word and it was when someone asked - that was one of the most upsetting days in my life.  So I tend to keep my hair long and wear clothing that shows off my one good curve, which is my waist to hips.  I have a tall and thin  female friend who gets asked the same question.  It always comes from men.   It is the most upsetting thing about being thin and tall for me.  Being tall doesn't bother me

You are gorgeous Jheri, thanks for sharing.

How old are you? I got a good looking son (6'4").

AHEM! Noone has mentioned heels in this entire forum and I don't believe I want to see Arch in them.

You can't imagine what my mother has tried to do "for" me.  It is like being related to a very broken match.com.

Re: fashion for talls:-)

Boo,

Thanks for asking.

My son is 30 going on 54, he lives in Austin TX. My daughter is a gorgeous 29 yr old, also in Austin, married to neat kid and they have a  one and a half yr old son and one "in the oven"!!

No, my son has no height issues at all- loves it I think. My daughter is 5-7 or 5-8.

Very proud of both of them.
